City Express Plus by Marriott Mexicali

Hotel was was great and pretty centrally located. The size of the rooms was nice and they offered a few different options for lighting within the room. Whether you needed to read a book, do paperwork at the desk or just lower lighting so your not in the dark. The bathroom was nice and spacious as well. The front lobby was nice and service was good. Will definitely come back and visit.

I came for a one-night stay for a medical appointment in the area. On arrival, I was immediately greeted and assisted by the parking attendant. Once inside, the very friendly front desk staff assisted me. They spoke English and were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and spacious; I loved the black out curtains and how quiet the rooms are. I had dinner in the restaurant by the lobby, and the waiter was very accommodating. The next day I had breakfast, which was very impressive and delicious, lots of options to choose from. I could also order something from the restaurant if I had wanted to. I appreciated the later than usual check out time. The area is very safe and quiet. I was traveling with my young teen daughter, and we never felt uncomfortable during our stay.

The place is upscale and the service was excellent. The only reason I did not give them a 5 across is because they are a Marriott yet they don't have access to coffee on a 24 hour basis and there are no refrigerator in the room.

Clean rooms. Great location. Well getting into the parking garage was a little tight for a large truck it felt safer parking there then leaving the truck on the surface street.

The underground parking was safe. The reception was fast and easy. The hallway and room smelled super clean. The room was well decorated, and everything was new. The pillows were nice, but the bed was too hard for my liking.

Love this Hotel. Clean comfortable rooms. Enjoy the view Mexicali if you're higher than the 5th floor. All-round my to go place always.

The place is fairly new so the condition of the rooms and hotel are still very new. The rooms are a good size and clean. The lobby is very spacey . The only thing iI din't really like is the continental breakfast. No variety in food.

Overall the hotel was amazing and modern. Not a lot of parking on-site especially for valuable, high end vehicles. Got lucky in parking my vehicle out front or under ground. Security was very accommodating with parking and loved that fact that vehicles were constantly being watched. Rooms were very modern and quite pleasing. I love cold rooms and was able to get the room down to 20°C. Stayed that way until checkout, which I loved. The only single downside about the room was the tv. It is a smart tv not connected to wifi (really odd) and had the worst time trying to screen mirror my phone. Tried for over 20 minutes and gave up. Breakfast was an okay selection but nothing healthy unless you paid an extra $320 pesos for a hot breakfast. For being a hotel by Marriott, I expected better. It is very close to the center of Mexicali which has a lot of restaurants and bars within a mile or two of the hotel which is a huge plus. Overall I would stay again but would not be my first choice of Marriott branded hotels.
